Training Walk - Circular route via Caddington

Yesterday evening I did a 10km training walk with full pack. It took us just over three hours.

We walked along Dallow Road then went up the hill.

In the woods we reached a tunnel under the motorway. It was TOTALLY dark because it had a corner in it. Very creepy.

We had a diversion because of roadworks on the way home and it was dark when we got home. We had noodles with tuna before bed.

Cardio & Quads

I was going to do some training on my Wii Fit, but it was such a lovely evening I went out cycling  around Popes Meadows and Wardown Park instead.

It's half term break next week, so watch this space for news of a proper training walk with camping and stuff!

Training Walk - 8 May

Today my little brother came along on our training walk. It was VERY hot, so we had to drink lots of water and use loads of sunblock. We covered 11.5km.

These pictures were taken near the end of our walk. We poured water over our heads to cool down!

Pics: Training walk, 30 April 2016

We did a training walk today without full backpack loads. Today's walk was all about speed - which was lucky, because that meant we were already on the way home when it started pouring with rain.

It was amazing how different it all looked. We've always done this route in the dark before!

Gazing at Warden Hill - and the storm clouds gathering above it!

We practise on hills a lot.

See that cloud? We did. Up close and personal.

Final climb of the day.

"Can we slide down again, Dad?"

For the hit album cover.

Dad forgot to start the trip monitor when we left home, so this only shows a bit of the walk.

Latest total: £628.76

Thank you Mr Hatton for donating. It helps me so much.

Thank you Liz Aldous and Caroline. Thanks to you and all the other kind supporters I am now approaching the halfway point on the way to my target. It's an amazing thing you've all done. This amount of money provides many many food parcels to struggling families.
